A heat pump is a relatively new technology in the UK although they are widely used in Scandinavia and many parts of Europe where there is an abundance of renewably sourced electricity.

A heat pump takes energy from outside and transfers it into heat to be circulated around a heating and hot water system. A heat pump uses electricity to run the components of a heat pump, principally a fan, compressor and circulating pumps to transfer the energy from the heat source into the heat sink or heating system.

Government Funding for Heat Pumps – Boiler Upgrade Scheme

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a government incentive that will assist with the upfront cost of upgrading your heating system with one of our air source heat pumps.

In addition, there is now no VAT on heat pumps – reducing the cost even further.

We can apply for the grant on your behalf and you will receive £5000 towards your new air source heat pump installation.

Our fixed call out fee covers the first hour of labour which often is enough time to diagnosis many common faults and get your boiler back working again.

Additional labour time and parts are charged separately but our engineer will provide you with a cost estimate once the fault has been diagnosed before proceeding further.
 
All repairs come with a 30 day labour and 1 year guarantee on parts used.

General Plumbing

Sludge is the build-up of magnetite which forms as a result of corrosion. Even a minimal build up of sludge can cause a serious drop in boiler efficiency, stopping your heating system from working efficiently and if left untreated is one of the leading causes of boilers failing.

We offer a flushing and cleansing service where we can remove the sludge from your heating system in as little as 2 hours. 

A cleansed system ensures optimal heating from your boiler and provides effective, ongoing protection, extending the life of your boiler, radiators and pipework.

It can also lower your energy usage as your boiler and radiators will work more efficiently afterwards. 


Flushing and Cleansing

If you're a landlord, it’s your responsibility to keep your property safe for tenants to live in. By law, you must have a gas safety check carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer every year. When you receive your landlord gas safety record, you’ll need to make a copy available to your tenants.
